Introduction to French for Kids (ages 7-11)
In Petits Artistes, young learners discover French through creativity, imagination, and play. This lively beginner class introduces foundational vocabulary and expressions through hands-on activities like drawing, singing, storytelling, role-play, and simple crafts—all in French. Whether pretending to shop at a French market, designing their own colorful “menu du jour,” or learning songs that bring language to life, kids build confidence and communication skills in a joyful, supportive setting while letting their talents shine.
Each class is thoughtfully structured with clear learning objectives and includes an introduction to basic grammar concepts, helping children begin to understand how the language works while keeping the experience fun, engaging, and accessible. No prior experience needed!
Logistics:
-Class meets in person, once a week
-Location: Boulder, CO (exact address TBA soon)
-Class duration: 15 weeks = 15 classes; 75-min class sessions
-Class taught in French
-Group size: up to 12 students
-Materials: No textbook required in this course
