Mon Café Français: Create, play, taste & speak French!(no French experience needed)
Bienvenue à Mon Café ! For one or two deliciously French days, we will create our very own café—complete with menus, assigned roles, customers, servers, orders, and plenty of café conversation. Kids will learn how to order en français, handle play money, calculate the bill, and bring their little café to life.
And, of course, a French café needs something to taste! We will discover and sample some fabulous French favorites, from crêpes and croissants to macarons and other tasty surprises.
Beginners and French speakers can enjoy the experience side by side: newer learners might order « Un croissant et un jus, s’il vous plaît ! », while more experienced speakers can take on longer conversations, describe the menu, manage orders, calculate bills, or even become le/la gérant(e) du café.
A little French, a little theater, a little math—and a lot of joie de vivre !
Logistics:
Class meets in person; Monday, November 23-Tuesday, November 24
1-day or 2-day options available (select from menu below)
Ages 5–9: 9:00am–1:00pm (4 hours)
Ages 10–14: 2:00pm–5:00pm (3 hours)
Class taught in French
Group size: 4-10 students per group
Location: 1790 30th St., Suite 245, Boulder, CO
Materials: No textbook required for this workshop
