Discover the charm of Paris while practicing your French skills in a fun, hands-on way! This immersive workshop is designed for beginner-level adults (A1) who want to gain confidence speaking French through everyday situations.
During the day, participants will:
Visit a Parisian café and bakery through roleplays, ordering drinks and pastries, and practicing greetings and simple phrases.
Explore a local market by asking prices, quantities, and describing foods in French.
Take a “walk in Montmartre”, describing the streets, colors, and weather using basic vocabulary.
Act out mini-dialogues and short skits, combining morning and afternoon activities in practical, interactive exercises.
By the end of the day, learners will feel more confident using French in daily life, expanding their vocabulary, and enjoying a taste of Parisian culture.
Important Note: We do not provide childcare or lunch between sessions. Participants are expected to return promptly for the afternoon session.
Logistics:
-Class meets in person; Saturday, November 1 @ 9:30am-12:00pm & 1:30-4:00pm (two 2.5-hour sessions: morning and afternoon)
-Course duration: two 2.5-hour class sessions: morning and afternoon
-Group size: 3-8 students
-Prerequisite: some FREN 101 or equivalent
