Step into the shoes of an intrepid traveler and put your French skills to the test in this dynamic full-day immersion experience. Designed for intermediate to advanced learners, this workshop combines language practice with interactive challenges that mirror real-life travel situations.
From navigating train stations and ordering regional specialties to solving cultural riddles and uncovering hidden “travel missions,” participants will engage in a variety of role-plays and activities that strengthen listening comprehension, build fluency, and expand travel-related vocabulary. Along the way, you’ll sharpen your conversational skills, boost your confidence, and deepen your cultural knowledge—all while embarking on a playful yet enriching quest.
This immersion day is perfect for those preparing to travel in France or francophone countries, as well as for learners eager to refine their French in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly interactive environment.
Logistics:
-Class meets in person; Saturday, November 22 @ 9:30am-12:00pm & 1:30-4:00pm (two 2.5-hour sessions: morning and afternoon)
-Course duration: two 2.5-hour class sessions: morning and afternoon
-Class taught in French
-Group size: 3-8 students
-Prerequisite: FREN 102 or 201, or equivalent
