Tailored for advanced learners, this immersion workshop invites participants to engage with authentic cultural materials—film excerpts, literary passages, theatrical dialogues, and comedic sketches—while exploring the richness and diversity of French artistic expression.
Discussions will focus not only on themes and techniques, but also on the social and historical contexts that shape these works. Through guided debates, interpretive activities, and collaborative analysis, you will refine your ability to argue, compare, and interpret complex ideas in French with fluency and precision.
This immersion day is ideal for those eager to challenge themselves linguistically while expanding their appreciation of French culture in all its facets—serious and playful alike.
Logistics:
-Class meets in person; Saturday, December 6 @ 9:30am-12:00pm & 1:30-4:00pm (two 2.5-hour sessions: morning and afternoon)
-Course duration: two 2.5-hour class sessions: morning and afternoon
-Class taught in French
-Group size: 3-8 students
-Prerequisite: FREN 202 or equivalent
