*Week 1: Castles, Fairies & Dragons (6-10 years old)
M-F: 06/02/25-06/06/25, 9:00am-12:00pm
Step into a magical world of enchanted châteaux, winged dragons, and mysterious forest fairies—all while learning French! This week, young adventurers will build their vocabulary through games, songs, and daily crafts inspired by classic fairy tales and medieval legends. Each day combines playful language learning with movement, music, storytelling, and art to help students absorb French naturally and joyfully.
Language goals: Build vocabulary related to magical characters, colors, shapes, and actions; Practice speaking in short, structured sentences; Strengthen listening and comprehension through songs, stories, and games;
Sample activities include: Fairy wings and wands: Craft sparkling wings and decorate your own magic wand, then act out spells in French ~ Create your own château! ~ Dragon egg hunt ~ Puppet theater: Make character puppets and perform your own mini-play in French ~ Heraldry & crests: Learn about medieval symbols and paint your family blason (coat of arms) ~ French fairy tale songs ~ Interactive story time: Discover French-language fairy tales with acting, drawing, and retelling.
This camp encourages creativity, imagination, and French language learning through rich storytelling and hands-on fun. A perfect start to a magical summer!
*Logistics:
-Ages: For children 6-10 years of age
-When: M-F: 06/02/25-06/06/25, 9:00am-12:00pm
-Location: Mesa Elementary School at 1575 Lehigh Street, Boulder, CO 80305 MAP
-Cancellation and Refund Policy:
1. Camps must be paid in full prior to the start of the first class.
2. The French Language Institute of Boulder will only issue *refunds 1) if cancellation/refund requests are made within 48 hours of payment and 2) before May 18, 2025. Both conditions must be met for a refund to be issued. *There is a $75 administration fee charged on all refunds.
-What To Bring:
*Pack a snack and a water bottle each day.
*Please note that we require parents to pack a nut-free snack for their
children.
